The largest brilliant-cut white diamond ever to appear at auction will be on the block at Sotheby's in Geneva on November 14.

The rock weighs-in at an extraordinary 84.37 carats and is expected to fetch the equivalent of SFr 19 million, said David Bennett, chairman of jewellery for Europe and the Middle East for Sotheby's auction house.

Bennett called the stone "magnificent and unique", adding that it had received the highest possible grading--D-colour, for finest white, and flawless clarity. The cut, polish and symmetry have all been graded excellent.
