The Swiss authorities have once again delayed the opening of a second transalpine rail tunnel in central Switzerland
The Federal Transport Office said that the Gotthard Tunnel, which was due to be completed in 2011, would hot open to traffic until 2015. This delay has been attributed to unfavourable geological conditions.
