The revolving door of summer fashion is spinning so fast that I sometimes find it hard to keep up. As the summer sales send us into a frenzy, gorgeous summer resort prints make us dizzy with desire. And as if that's not enough, next season's collection previews are already out. My favourite escapes from the shopping craze are Zurich's summer flea markets and second-hand shops.

Flea markets boast the nostalgic feeling of trips to Grandma's with their eclectic pieces, which can be collated over time. The atmosphere is vibrant but, in comparison with the battlefield of the Zurich's mega-stores on Saturdays, it is relatively relaxed. The markets are a great place to reconnect with your personal style.
