The Swiss Post's lock on letters is weakening. Thanks to new regulations adopted by the Federal Council, on July 1, private letter carriers will be able to transport letters weighing 50 grams or more. Thus far, private carriers have been restricted from transporting letters weighing less than 100 grams.
