Switzerland continues to remain one of the world's leading foreign investors with its exporting capital worth more than the country's annual gross domestic product (GDP).

A new study reveals that Switzerland had made net overseas investments of a]most $180 billion (CHF227 billion) in 2002, putting it behind Britain, Japan and France.

Measured as a percentage of its GDP, Swiss foreign investments come only behind Hong Kong as the world's leading investor abroad.
