A green light for ecological development.

The Swiss government has taken a significant step towards supporting developing countries with sustainable energy projects. The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) has allocated US$21 million (SFr 24 million) to promote and support a wide range of overseas renewable energy schemes in low-income countries. Proven green technologies, such as geothermal energy, solar energy, wind energy, biomass and small hydropower plants are eligible to receive support from the programme.
