A discovery about how chocolate is metabolised may be used to treat some forms of obesity.

A small study links the type of bacteria living in people's digestive system to a desire for chocolate. Everyone hosts a vast community of microbes, but people who crave chocolate appear to have different colonies of bacteria than those who are immune to its allure.
