Come November and it's the beginning of carnival in Switzerland, with people dressed up as jesters and witches heralding the start of the "fifth season" across the country.

Every year on November 11, at exactly 11 minutes past 11, tradition has it that the jesters demand the symbolic keys of a city Afterwards, silence sets in again till February.

People in fancy dresses gathered ill cities all over Switzerland as musicians played traditional "Guggenmusik"--a catchy offbeat type of music played by a brass band and associated with carnival time.
