On this final day of the Passion Regard spiritual festival, there is a rare chance to experience this majestic work by Swiss composer Hermann Suter. The Laudi--a poem of praise to St Francis and exaltation of nature --"can be compared to a vast edifice", according to the festival website, and indeed performing it is a vast undertaking as besides a full orchestra and organ, it requires four soloists, a mass choir and a children's choir.
For a contrast in style, later the same day you can hear Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, performed by the Lausanne City Choir at l'Eglise Saint-Francois.
