Trainer orders in prospect.
Buying fixed-wing training aircraft is normally a low priority for most air forces, but some significant re-equipment programmes are pending in India, the UK and US. At the upper end of the market, the big question is whether a new generation of advanced jet trainers is ready to take over from existing designs.
Pilot training is generally performed in three stages, in this review described as primary, basic and advanced.
