Cosmopolitan [Greger Bergfeldt] observes that there are talented hair designers all over the world, but that hair isn't the same everywhere: For example, people in south Europe tend to have hair which is strong, thick and has some self curls; an Asian's hair is mostly stronger and thicker; Scandinavian hair has mostly thinner strands and no active texture or self curls in it, which means giving it active texture is the first goal.

Greger Bergfeldt takes a sip of tea in a coffee shop at Odenplan in Stockholm as he considers his calendar. "I've been away for two weeks in the USA. Now I'm home in Sweden until Thursday, and then I'm off to Asia for nine weeks, to Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan and Shanghai, China." He appreciates the opportunity to regularly return to practice his trade in the salon founded by his grandparents in southern Sweden: "Its wonderful to have that continuity," Bergfeldt says.
