Each day in the van begins with the same ritual: peering out the window to determine the weather--the deciding factor in how our day will progress. If it is rainy, we opt for a leisurely awakening followed by lots of coffee, and a warm breakfast of pancakes or French toast cooked over our built-in propane stove.
