Visit with Samiklaus: on a crisp, clear winter evening so silent that even the night seems to be holding its breath, man and beast alike are waiting. Guided by a multitude of stars splashed across the velvety black cosmos, two men appear.

December 6th is a sacred day for German children everywhere, a day that is anticipated as children await the arrival of Samiklaus. But the scene is not wholly one of excitement. There is a palpable tension, and unease bordering on fear, eminating around the room.
