Summary
Scandinavia,Japan, and Pennsylvania: What do the three places mean to you? Scandinavia - the land of the midnight sun; clean and pure, vast and spacious, tall green mountains full of Spruce, japan - where I was born; beautiful Zen temples and gardens, very spiritual. US/Pennsylvania - my home; a combination of all cultures, where I am most comfortable, where I work and create my art.
What happens during a typical day at your studio? I usually arrive to my studio at around 10:30 am (after answering e-mails). I like to work in the morning when the sun shines through my windows and doors. Often I am working on a piece for several days. I tidy up from the day before and continue working until the piece is finished. Days where I can start on a new idea are very exciting; I look to my wood shelf, go through my stones, sit in the sun, play with the different combinations, and start dreaming up the next "Big" idea. Then, I start working on it. I like to take my time and really enjoy the process - it's very exciting! At around 6:30/7:00 pm my 2 cats come by to tell me it's dinner time. That's a typical day for me.See the full content of this document
