Scandinavia is beautiful, but its weather sometimes isn't. "Frozen Land," the title of our movie review in this issue, came by its name honestly. Volvos and Saabs were built tough to perform well on Scandinavia's formerly miserable roads during typically miserable winters. Today's roads are better, but the winters remain tough, which means people drive faster under conditions that are still hazardous. That's one of the reasons Saab and Volvo will always make safety a priority.
