The menu is Danish and Icelandic, with some American accents, such as pecan pie. There's much more than food, though. Bookshelves below the cafÉ's bar are filled with 4,000 paperbacks, all arranged by color, giving patrons something to occupy their minds while waiting for the spin cycle to end. "We have state-of-the-art Electrolux washing machines. We want people to be really, really clean," says Brynjolfur Gardarsson, one of the four Icelanders.
