Summary
Intimate. In every aspect, from the location to the relations, curator Linda Rydberg's non-profit art gallery is intimate. The gallery, Livingroom D lyx, is situated in the living room of Rydberg's tiny one-bedroom apartment, located in downtown Malmö, in southern Sweden. Twice a month, some forty to fifty art lovers cram into Linda's home to mingle and check out the latest avante garde installation. Despite its minuscule size, only about ten square meters, the Malmö gallery is truly international; half the artists who exhibit live in Sweden, and about half live in New York.
On September 16, Malmö-based Nilsmagnus Sköld will show his brandnew "Rereading Dandelion Meadow" in Rydberg's gallery. The artist, who has done extensive research and artwork with orchids, has previously shown his flowery work in the Rooseum Center for Contemporary Art, the Wanås sculpture park, and Stockholm's prestigious Liljevachs Konsthall -- and soon in Linda Rydberg's living room.See the full content of this document
