Let's dance! Foofwa d'lmobilite is one of a growing number of dancers and choreographers who are enlivening the dynamic Swiss dance scene. His frequently eccentric, always innovative work has earned him an international reputation.

"This is an important time for contemporary dance in Switzerland," says Foofwa d'Imobilite, who is back in his native Genera after dancing for 12 years with the famous Merce Cunningham Company in New York.

He says that dance companies, choreographers and individual dancers receive more generous support--both financial support and moral support--in Switzerland than in most countries: "Geneva, for example, has done amazing things for dancers."
