"That was a dream of mine since childhood--to find a place where no one [tries to] kill you when you jump over the Wall," says the East-German native. Another, he says, "was to have my own company".

Now, over 30 years later, Lange has achieved both. He is co-owner, CEO and chief engineer of Canton Schaffhausen's Moser Group AG--the company responsible for manufacturing the new era of H. Moser & Cie. mechanical watches.
