Clearing hidden killers.

Few weapons are as wasteful as mines; millions of which have been buried to disable tanks or to injure soldiers. Yet sown with care, they can protect vulnerable areas, especially where resources for defence are limited. But after the conflict is over and the armies gone, mines remain to kill and maim innocent civilians years after peace has been declared.
