From pearl to pen: remarks on her youthful appearance prompted her to write first book, Ageless. Swiss-based Armenian author Dalita Iskenderian Alex tells of her move from Armenia to Japan and then to the Alps.

A 17-year-old Dalita fell in love with John Iskenderian Alex, a pearl dealer based in Japan, in 1969. As young Mrs. Alex, she spent six years in Japan, where the couple was blessed with a baby boy and then a girl. A year later, they moved to Lebanon where a third child--a daughter--was born.
