Snohetta, the Oslo-based architectural company which is named for Norway's second-largest mountain, is an internationally renowned name in architecture. Snohetta designed Egypt's strikingly beautiful Alexandria Library, Bibliotheca Alexandrina, as well as Oslo's new opera house. Snohetta was also commissioned to design the Museum Pavilion that will serve as the entrance to the Memorial Museum at the World Trade Center. A recent exhibition at New York's Trygve lie Gallery featured the works - photography, painting, and mixed media - of six Danish artists, all living and working in New York. Their reasons varied for making the move over the Atlantic to the City of Bright Lights. "The city itself and a woman" lured Henrik Rehr over.
